Zika exposes the inequity of the rigid Salvadoran legislation on abortion
"The risk that pregnant women will become ill with Zika exposes the inequity of the rigid Salvadoran legislation on abortion. Poor adolescent girls have less access to contraceptives and are at high risk of becoming pregnant and contracting a virus that causes microcephaly in fetuses. And any attempt to terminate the pregnancy early exposes them to being treated as criminals."
